Selected events coming up in the UK and elsewhere in July

The H Community Calendar presents the coming month's events in various open source, development, Linux, Unix and other communities, from multi-day conferences to user group get-togethers.

July 1 - Open Source Hardware - London SW1

Who: Open Source Hardware Users Group and OsmoSoft

What: Arduino: An Open Source Success Story - Asking the question "what factors contribute to the success of an open source hardware project?", and using Arduino and derivatives LilyPad Arduino and the concurrency.cc board as the basis for an informal case study.

July 9-11 - Mapping - Girona, Spain

Who: OpenStreetMap.org and StateOfTheMap.org

What: OpenStreetMap: 2010 State of the Map conference - "The world's leading Open StreetMap community event. Join participants from all around the world in Girona from July 9th – 11th to hear talks, participate in workshops and hang out with OpenStreetMappers from around the world".
