Darktable 1.2.2 adds new cameras
The latest update of darktable, version 1.2.2, builds on the improvements of darktable 1.2 to add more camera support. Specifically the raw file decoder Rawspeed r553, the Canon EOS 700D and Nikon Coolpix P330 are now supported by the photographic workflow management application.
Other changes include improved colour profiles for the Canon 100D and 700D and the Sony NEX-7 and better white balance presets for the Canon 100D and 700D, along with the Sony SLT-A37 and Nikon Coolpix P330. There are also additional noise profiles for the Canon EOS-M, Olympus E-600 and E620, Samsung WB2000, Sony A99v, Panasonic DMC-G10 at iso 100 and Nikon D60.
Bug fixes in the release return the ability to rate an image with no stars, adds jump to image on a double click on a film strip and a memory for positions in collections. There are also OpenCL fixes for building the app on Mac OS X and libsquish compilation is now an option. Installation instructions for Ubuntu, Fedora, SUSE, Red Hat and derivatives, Arch, Funtoo, Gentoo and Mac OS X are available along with instructions on how to build the GPLv3 licensed software.
