The Droidcon London organisers have begun to confirm speakers for the 100% Android-focused two-day event running from 25 to 26 October. Among the first confirmed talks, an introduction to developing for Google TV will be presented by Google's Matt Gaunt, and Facebook's Simon Cross will be showing how to integrate applications with Facebook's Open Graph. Other confirmed talks include Corey Latislaw explaining how to move to using Android's UI fragments, Mark Murphy covering NFC-based data beaming, and Cyril Mottier on Fly-in App Menus and how to design apps with them.

But the agenda is still open for the conference; the call for papers is open until 10 August. Droidcon attracts numerous sponsors who take an active part in the event including Sony, Airpush, Pearson, Stackoverflow, Novoda, Bitbar and Inneractive who all sponsored last year's Droidcon. New sponsors include Nook (as a platinum sponsor), Vodafone, Alcatel OneTouch and MOBICAP. Droidcon will be run at the Design Centre, Islington and early bird conference tickets are currently available at £100+VAT, with prices rising as the event gets closer. There are also £50+VAT student tickets and limited sponsored places for students.
