Free GLib 2.20 library released
Almost concurrently with the new version of the GTK+ graphics toolkit, the new, stable version 2.20 of GLib has also been released. The new release is downwards compatible with GLib 2.18. Its new features include support for the in-place decoding of base64 strings and according to the developers, GHashTable and GMarkup have also been optimised.
The library used to be a part of GTK+ and combines the non-GUI components of GTK+ in a separate project. This allows developers to access its functionality without having to carry along the entire GUI library.
