GNOME Foundation elects new Board of Directors
The GNOME Foundation has announced that it has elected a new Board of Directors. Bastien Nocera, Emmanuele Bassi and Shaun McCance have been re-elected to the board, while Andreas Nilsson, Joanmarie Diggs, Tobias Müller and Seif Lotfy are newcomers to the position.
Joanmarie Diggs comes from the Orca team and has worked primarily on accessibility within GNOME, while Tobias Müller is a lead member of the GNOME bug squad. Andreas Nilsson has been involved with GNOME since 2005, mainly doing design work, and has served on the Board of Directors of the foundation before. Seif Lotfy is one of the lead developers of the Zeitgeist project and has lately been working with the GNOME design team on implementing user interface designs.
The GNOME Foundation's Board of Directors is elected every year. Notable former board members include Nat Friedman, Miguel de Icaza, Havoc Pennington and Michael Meeks.
