Good business for Alfresco Software
Alfresco, makers of the open source enterprise CMS system of the same name, have announced a 61 per cent rise in revenue, year on year. The company puts this down to a record growth in new subscription customers and expansion of it's partner network. It also recorded its best quarter in Q4 2009. Worldwide, in 2009, Alfresco added over 300 enterprise customers, including Cisco, Forbes, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and Greenpeace.
The company does not give specific figures in its announcement as it is a privately held company. Alfresco did note other achievements such as passing two million software downloads and increasing the size of it's workforce by 29 per cent over the year.
