How to make open web sites - BBC RadioLabs tutorial

The BBC RadioLabs have posted a document on "How we make websites", subtitled "Designing and building data driven dynamic web applications... the one web, domain driven, restful, open linked data way". The content is based on an internal presentation from within the BBC, which brings together the techniques used by the BBC development teams to create open, accessible resources.

Michael Smethhurst, Information Architect with BBC Audio and Music says "there's very little original thinking here", but for developers who want an insight on how to construct resources, using what are considered current best practices, the presentation pulls together a number of threads, such as persistent URIs, linked open data, REST and domain driven design. A development cycle is outlined, starting with, exploring the domain model and stepping through to, testing for accessibility and usability. The presentation is language agnostic and is a good starting point for developer discussion.
