As this year's IFA consumer electronics trade show taking place in Berlin, even more Android tablets are being announced. Just days after announcing that its AT100 tablet is now available in Europe, Toshiba is already showing the AT200, its newer "ultra-thin, ultra-light" device. The 10.1-inch Android 3.2 "Honeycomb" based tablet weighs just 558 grams compared to the AT100's 765 grams and, at only 7.7mm thick, it's one of the slimmest Android tablets around, less than half as deep as the 15.8mm AT100.
Toshiba's AT200 has a 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of internal storage. Other components include a built-in 3D accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass and GPS; a rear-facing 5.0 MP camera and a 2.0 MP front facing camera; and wireless connectivity including 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The AT200 will be available in Europe in "the fourth quarter of 2011"; pricing has yet to be confirmed.

At the trade show, Lenovo revealed the IdeaPad A1, the company's new 7-inch Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" tablet. The device is powered by a single-core 1 GHz Cortex A8 CPU, has built-in Wi-Fi, GPS, and front and rear-facing cameras. Shipping later this year, the IdeaPad A1 will be priced at $199 for the entry level 8 GB version, and $249 and $299 for 16 GB and 32 GB models respectively.
Other announcements of new Android tablets include ViewSonic with its ViewPad 10pro, which also runs Windows 7, and the Iconia Tab A100 7-inch device from Acer. Following earlier rumours of the first Honeycomb device from HTC, code-named "Puccini", the company presented its 10-inch Jetstream tablet. It will go on sale for $700 with a two year contract on AT&T in the US later this month.
