Java 7 Summit to be held at EclipseCon Europe
The Eclipse Foundation has announced that, in collaboration with Oracle, it will be presenting a Java 7 Summit at this year's European EclipseCon conference. EclipseCon Europe 2011 will take place from 2 to 4 November at the Forum am Schlosspark in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
According to its organisers, the 2011 event will offer Java developers and architects in-depth technical sessions on the upcoming Java 7 release – the first major version of the platform in nearly five years – and on OpenJDK. The Java 7 sessions will be open to all EclipseCon Europe attendees. Java experts are invited to submit a session proposal for the Java 7 track of the conference; the deadline for submissions is 17 August.
More details about this year's EclipseCon Europe conference can be found on the EclipseCon Europe web site. A list of proposed sessions is also available. Registration will open "in the next couple of weeks".
