KDE SC 4.4.2 arrives with various bug fixes
The KDE developers have released version 4.4.2 of the KDE Software Compilation (KDE SC), the latest bug fix release for the popular Linux desktop. In addition to several translation updates and stability improvements, the second KDE 4.4 update addresses a number of issues found in the previous 4.4.1 release.
KDE SC 4.4.2 features fixes for the Plasma desktop environment, the KDE User Interface Library (kdeui) and the Dolphin file manager. Other changes include updates for the Okular document viewer, KAlarm and the JuK audio player.

Source packages for self-compilation and binary packages for various Linux distributions are available to download from the project's website. The next point update to KDE 4.4, version 4.4.3, is scheduled to arrive on the 4th of May, 2010.
KDE is licensed under a combination of the LGPLv2, BSD, MIT and X11 licenses for core libraries and the GPLv2 or GPLv3 for applications. At the time of writing an official announcement about the update, had yet to be made.
Update: The developers have now officially announced the release of KDE SC 4.4.2, code named "Colibri".
