Linux Mint 15 Xfce edition released with Whisker Menu
The Linux Mint team has released the Xfce edition of Linux Mint 15, code-named "Olivia". The release includes the Whisker Menu as a replacement for Xfce's native application launcher. Whisker is inspired by KDE's Kickoff menu, but also takes design cues from the Mint menu application included in the Cinnamon edition of the distribution.
Like Linux Mint 14 Xfce, the newer release uses Xfce 4.10 to provide the rest of its desktop environment. A number of additional new features in Linux Mint 15 Xfce, including the new proprietary driver manager, an application for managing software sources and improvements in the MDM login manager, were already available in Linux Mint's two main editions featuring the Cinnamon and MATE desktops that were released at the end of May.
32- and 64-bit versions of Linux Mint 15 Xfce can be downloaded through BitTorrent links and directly from the Linux Mint servers.
