Mageia 3 release pushed back

Mageia logo The Mageia developers have announced that they are pushing back the release of Mageia 3 to 3 May 2013 to allow them to have one more beta release at the end of March. Beta releases are now scheduled for 5 March and 28 March and a release candidate is set to appear on 19 April.

Overall this pushes the Mageia 3 release back by over a month, but the Mageia planning committee hopes that this will lead to "more tests, more bug fixes – and a more stable and up-to-date Mageia 3". The past and present versions of the Mageia release schedule can be found on the Mageia wiki along with the current list of features, both accepted and pending.
