OpenSSH version 5.2 released
The OpenBSD project has released version 5.2 of the free implementation of the Secure Shell Protocol (SSH).
OpenSSH Version 5.2/5.2p1 is primarily a bug fix release of the previous release, 5.1, which included a number of new features and made some substantial changes. Among other fixes, the new version addresses a vulnerability in the CBC mode where, under certain circumstances, part of the transfer of plain text could be reconstructed.
The release notes detail more of the various changes included in the 5.2 release of OpenSSH.
