PiTiVi video editor adds new transform feature

Version 0.15 of the open source PiTiVi video editor for Linux has been released. According to developer Thibault Saunier, 0.15 will be the last release that uses the "traditional" core/engine; future releases will be based on the GStreamer Editing Services (GES) library, which will improve the application's performance and stability.

PiTiVi 0.15 brings faster startup time and includes a new transform feature that allows users to resize, pan or crop clips directly within the previewer. Soundtracks are now analysed to automatically align and sync clips when using footage from multiple cameras. For users without a permanent connection to the internet and the project's wiki, an integrated offline user manual has been added.
