Spring Roo 1.2 update improves performance
The Spring Roo development team has announced the release of version 1.2.1 of its open source rapid application development tool for creating Java applications. According to Project Lead Alan Stewart, the maintenance update to the 1.2.x branch brings performance enhancements and adds support for PrimeFaces 3.1 and version 1.6.2 of Google's App Engine cloud platform. A number of problems in multi-module Maven support and JavaServer Faces/PrimeFaces have also been fixed.
Spring Roo 1.2.1 is available to download from the Spring Community Downloads page; documentation is provided in both HTML and PDF formats. Spring Roo is licensed under the Apache Licence 2.0 and is developed by Spring Source, the open source Java division of VMware.
