Ubuntu Developer Week announced
The Ubuntu development team have announced that the next Ubuntu Developer Week will take place from the July 12th to 16th. Several online workshops will take place during the week, run by a variety of Ubuntu contributors and community members.
The virtual one hour sessions will cover a number of topics, such as getting started with Ubuntu development, packaging, bugs and patches, working with translations, and authoring Upstart jobs. The Ubuntu Developer Week will take place online in IRC (Internet Relay Chat) chat rooms. Instructions on how to connect to the freenode IRC network and to the Ubuntu Developer Week are provided on the Joining In wiki.
Additional details about the Ubuntu Developer Week, including a full timetable, are available in a post by Daniel Holbach on the Ubuntu developer mailing list and on the Ubuntu Developer Week wiki.
