Ubuntu Tweak

The developers of Ubuntu Tweak have released the latest version, Ubuntu Tweak 0.8.5, of their modification utility for the Ubuntu desktop. After Ubuntu Tweak 0.8.4 added support for Ubuntu 13.04, the developers discovered a number of bugs relating to that Ubuntu version and have now fixed most of them. The fixes mean that users can now change the position of the window controls and the look of the window themes and fonts on the latest Ubuntu version as well.

The Ubuntu Tweak developers do point out, however, that several bugs are still unfixed, such as a crash error on updating, a problem with the German translation of the program, and a bug with a script that allows users to browse folders as root in Nautilus. Despite of this, they recommend that users of Ubuntu 13.04 update their version of Ubuntu Tweak as soon as possible. A detailed list of all fixed bugs can be found on Launchpad.

Ubuntu Tweak 0.8.5 can be downloaded as a .deb packageDirect download (for all versions of Ubuntu from 9.10 onwards) from Launchpad. The source code of the application is licensed under the GPLv2.
