VirtualBox 2.2 beta released
Sun Microsystems has announced the release of the first beta of VirtualBox 2.2 which, adds several new features to the open source desktop virtualisation system. The beta includes performance improvements and over 30 bug fixes. New features in the release include OpenGL 3D acceleration for Linux guests, improved USB support, experimental USB support for OpenSolaris hosts and experimental support for Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) hosts. VirtualBox 2.2 now supports shared folders for Solaris and OpenSolaris guests, as well as Open Virtualisation Format (OVF) appliance import and export.
