openSUSE Build Service 1.5 now supports distribution builds
The openSUSE developers have released version 1.5 of their Build Service. The release now allows developers to create their own distributions, whereas previously they could only build packages. This is the same service that the openSUSE developers used to create the openSUSE 11.1 release.
Version 1.5 can automatically calculate dependencies to create install images, including live CDs, USB drives images, Xen images and VMWare images. The release includes experimental support for cross-architecture builds, filtering of build results via the Web monitor and package download on demand.
More details about the release can be found in the release notes.
