LibreOffice logo One week after releasing version 3.6.0, The Document Foundation has published the sixth maintenance update to the 3.5.x branch of LibreOffice. As expected at this stage, the new version of the open source productivity suite focuses on fixing bugs, several which affected the software's stability.

In total, LibreOffice 3.5.6 addresses more than 60 bugs; including ones that cause crashes when opening RTF documents and saving documents with track-changes enabled, and also crashes on Mac OS X when accessibility options are enabled. The update also fixes problems affecting PDF Export, and importing of DOCX and ODF files.

A full list of fixes and changes in the update can be found in the RC1 and RC2 change logs; at the time of writing, the release notes have yet to be updated. Licensed under the LGPLv3, LibreOffice 3.5.6 is available to download for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux from the project's site.
