Marketing tool OpenEMM gets new interface
Agnitas AG has released the 2011 version of OpenEMM, the company's open source enterprise application for newsletter and email marketing. The most notable new feature is the revamped web-based interface, which is intended to be more user-friendly. The user interface is no longer based on HTML tables, instead using DIV containers and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), allowing for more flexible customisation of the layout.
There are also several new functions, such as 'dynamic templates' – changes to a dynamic template are automatically incorporated into all mailshots which use that template. The new activities log provides administrators with a better overall picture by allowing them to trace all user actions. A detailed list of all new functions and of bug fixes can be found in the change log.
Agnitas AG offers a commercial version, E-Marketing Manager (EMM), which can be distributed on several servers as software on demand (SaaS); OpenEMM is intended for use on a single server. Hosted on SourceForge, OpenEMM source code is released under the Common Public Attribution License (CPAL).
