Perl.org refresh goes live
The newly redesigned Perl.org site.
Following six weeks of development, the Perl.org web site, home of the Perl programming language, has now been redesigned and relaunched. According to a journal post by Senior Perl developer Leo Lapworth, the complete redesign and content review is aimed at providing a cleaner and easier to use page for visitors to better find the information they are after.
The newly updated site now features a new contemporary design with links to the most popular Perl pages including short descriptions, such as Learning Perl, The Perl Community, Documentation and The Perl Foundation. While working on the redesign, Lapworth has also implemented a new skin for dbi.perl.org and learn.perl.org as well. Users wanting to see what the site looked like before can check out the site from the 18th of June, 2008 via the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.
