Voting opened to name Mandriva community distribution
Charles H Schulz has announced the opening of voting to select a new name for the Mandriva community distribution that will emerge from the current work on creating a new Mandriva foundation. Mandriva is currently in the process of reorganising, and part of the plan involves handing the development of the distribution to the community.
The poll, which will close on Thursday, 12 July at 13:30 CET, is available on the announcement page and on a dedicated poll page. Options are (in the order given on the page) OpenMandriva, Communadriva, Dracanea Linux, Drake Linux, Mana Linux, Mandala Linux, Mira Linux, Moondrake, NorthStar Linux, OpenDrake, Pulsar Linux and Tulipa Linux. There is also an option to "write-in" your own suggestions for a new name.
