Y PPA Manager 0.0.8.7 de-duplicates PPAs
The latest version of WebUpd8's Y PPA Manager has been released. Y PPA Manager 0.0.8.7 provides a graphical interface for adding and removing personal package archives on Ubuntu systems, a task that is usually accomplished on the command line or through Ubuntu's Software Centre.
The new version has the ability to update single PPAs on their own, which is especially useful for users with low bandwidth internet connections. It can also de-duplicate PPAs installed on a system and supports Unity Quicklists which allow users to access all functions of the program directly from Unity's Dash.
Additionally, the new version has fixed several bugs, and has also gained man pages. The program itself can be installed via its own PPA; it supports Ubuntu 9.10 and later, as well as corresponding versions of Linux Mint. Y PPA Manager is licensed under the GPLv3.
