Phishing protection under Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer only provides rudimentary protection against phishing. If a site is visited and the browser detects any problems with the certificate, it displays the following pop-up window. In this case, users should check very carefully if they are on the correct site.

The best protection against phishing is to take great care when handling emails; users should not access sites of online shops and online banks by clicking on links provided in emails, but should always enter the addresses in the browser's address field themselves or select an address from their own favourites
